What makes you think so?

Dear Артём! To start with, I should say that the Cold War echo is too strong in minds of common Russian people. Our parents, our grandfathers and grandmothers were taught that the American imperialism is the main enemy of the Communist world (and, frankly speaking, so it really was, same as USSR was the main counterpart of the United States). Many representatives of those generations are still alive, and it is normal for them, that the USA has always been, and continues to be, our opponent.
Secondly, many people connect the 'perestroika', or, as it is sometimes called, 'catastroika', with the USA again, blaming the American politicians for supporting Mr. Gorbachev and the economic consequences connected with perestroika, especially the 90s that followed.
Thirdly, the American government as well keeps behaving as a Cold War superpower, which is disliked by many Russian citizens, who do not support Mr Putin, but who would really mind the repetition of democratic reforms a la 90s.
I could speak about it at great length, but I hope that I satisfied your curiosity, generally?
