It is a great pleasure to invite you to attend 76th Prague Meeting on Macromolecules, which will be focused on Polymers in Medicine with the aim of showing and discussing the latest innovative developments in drugdelivery systems.
We are pleased to announce that the Prague Meeting on Macromolecules: Polymers in Medicine 2012 will be dedicated to the 65th birthday of Professor Karel Ulbrich (Prague, Czech Republic), the leading scientist in the field of polymer drugdelivery in the Czech Republic.
Prof.Karel Ulbrich contributed essentially to the development of the polymer conjugates of doxorubicin based on N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide copolymers known as a PK1 and PK2. The polymer drugs were developed in cooperation between the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry and the University of Keele and were the first polymer drug conjugates entering clinical trials at all.
Prof. Karel Ulbrich as scientist, teacher, academic visionary and entrepreneur has been working tirelessly for the internationalization of the field of the drugdelivery systems.
