How to Apply

Your application for AHRC funding is embedded into the University of Birmingham’s online application for a place to study at http://pga.bham.ac.uk. You should complete this form in full and complete the following steps before the deadline of Monday 28 January 2013 at 4pm:
In the Additional Information section, please select ‘Studentship (UK/EU Students Only)’ under ‘Funding’. Then select ‘AHRC’ in the drop down menu and answer ‘no’ to ‘Has this funding already been obtained?’
A text box will appear, directing you to this page. You should download the AHRC Additional Information Form (DOC - 241KB), complete it, referring to the Guidance Notes (PDF - 172KB). You should then attach the completed form to your online application as an additional document.

Please note that as part of your online application for a place to study, you will provide the details of two referees. You should inform these referees that the reference they provide will be used in support of your application for AHRC funding, and that it must be submitted before 28th January 2013, 4pm.

You will then be able to track the submission of your references using the online application tracker. It is your responsibility to ensure that references are submitted by the deadline. Applications which do not have a completed AHRC Additional Information Form, two references and a transcript attached will not be eligible for consideration.
